Oriya - Page 2
The Oriya script is used for the Oriya language spoken in the Orrisa state in India and elsewhere. The Oriya script is believed to been developed from the Kalinga writing system, and descendent from the ancient Brahmi script. It's curved letterforms are attributed to the use of inscribing on palm leaves (where straight lines can cause tearing of the leaves).
