Korean - Page 2
Korean makes use of two writing systems – Hangul and Hanja. Hangul is the syllabic writing system used in Korea. It was created specifically for the Korean language in the 15th century. Hanja refers to the Chinese ideograph characters used in a typical Korean font and is used far less that Hangul. The primary character set support is the KSC 5601 standard, which includes 17,100 characters. Monotype’s Korean fonts support both Hangul and Hanja characters found in the KSC 5601 character set.
